This education assistance program offers interest-free loans and grants to students pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees (for spouses only) at accredited two-year or four-year post-secondary, technical, or vocational institutions in the United States. Eligible applicants include children of active duty, retired, or qualifying deceased Sailors and Marines who are under the age of 23 by September 30 of the current academic year, as well as surviving children of those who passed away while on active duty or after retirement.
Award amounts range from $500 to $3,000 per academic year, with loans available up to $4,000 annually. Funds may be used for tuition, room and board, books, and other academic fees. Students may enroll full-time or part-time in Career & Technical Education, associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree programs (master’s degree assistance is limited to spouses).
